We'll See How It Goes

I've long thought about having my own blog, but for whatever reason - usually laziness - I left it in the thinking about it stage. But, now, I'm taking the next step and actually writing, and we'll see how it goes. Why now? Why not?
OK, there are other reasons. The most exciting month in sports in just a little over a week away, when the World Cup kicks off in South Africa. So now seems as good a time as any for a former sports writer to do some writing about his favorite event. So, that's how we'll start things off. Yes, I'll talk about other things, but as an excuse to get writing, for now, a lot of this blog will center around my musings on the World Cup. Maybe I'll do some previews, analysis, live game comments, whatever I decide (which, of course, is the beauty of blogging). Along the way, I'll offer other entries, probably centered around Satchel, my (almost) three-year-old. Maybe I'll do photos, video. I've got a grand vision, but, yeah, we'll see how it goes. I hope to get at least a few people reading this. I hope you'll be amused, and share what you're thinking. I want to interact with you (yes, you!).
So, that's enough of an intro. Some days, I'll post more, some less. Check back often, as I hope to keep this fresh and thrilling. But, we'll see how it goes.
